Deraya is proud to have partnership agreements with universities around the globe.
In fall 2024, Deraya’s College of Dentistry entered into an agreement with the University Michigan’s School of Dentistry, to work together in the areas of research, education, capacity building, and student/faculty mobility programs.
The College of Physical Therapy at Deraya University in Egypt, along with Professor Ashraf Gorgey FROM Virginia Commonwealth University, USA, are pleased to announce their agreement to cooperate in the research and teaching of physical therapy at Deraya University. This collaboration will involve the teaching of the following courses:
Deraya University and the University of Iowa have agreed to cooperate in a variety of teaching and research capabilities, including:
• The development of joint educational, and research activities.
• The exchange of scholars (faculty members, undergraduate, and graduate students) for participation in conferences, seminars, research, and lectures.
• The development of the academic curriculum.
• The development of joint research funding applications.
In Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, several faculty members from Deraya faculty of Pharmacy attended eight seminars as part of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics (PSET) at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa seminar series.
In the Fall of 2021, Deraya University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill entered into a collaboration agreement focusing on Education and Research. The goals of this agreement are:
• Improving the quality of teaching at Deraya.
• Developing academic programs
• Collaborating in joint research projects
• Participating in student exchange.
Deraya is the first university from Egypt to collaborate with the Center for Innovation in Pharmacy Education and Research (CIPhER) at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. CIPhER provides several training courses, seminars, and summer institute sessions designed to improve the teaching skills of faculty members.
As a part of an academic collaboration between Deraya University and the University of Rhode Island, USA, Deraya University had the honor of hosting a number of prestigious professors from URI, who gave lectures to students and faculty at Deraya University. In addition, these visiting professors provided a hands-on workshop and training for faculty members and assistants regarding new and advanced teaching methods.
In Fall 2021, Deraya University and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, TX, USA agreed a collaboration focusing on Education and Research. This agreement includes the exchange of physiotherapy interns to spend parts of their internships at Galveston, TX, in addition to collaboration in research and education.
