Who Can Apply

Admission is open to students holding recognized Egyptian secondary school certificates (Thanaweya Amma, Al-Azhar, American Diploma, IGCSE/English systems, and approved Arabic equivalencies). You may apply to any of Deraya’s four colleges: Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, or Business Administration. (See program pages for prerequisites.)

How to Apply (Undergraduate)

1. Choose your program (Business, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy).
2. Check requirements for your certificate type and the program’s subject prerequisites.
3. Prepare documents (ID/passport, transcript, certificate, photos; see checklist below).
4. Apply online and upload documents.
5. Track your status. We will notify you about any missing items, interviews (if required), and your decision.

Entry Requirements (Snapshot)

All applicants must meet the minimum grade requirements for their secondary certificate and program. Deraya is required by law to send each admitted student’s complete file to the Ministry of Higher Education and the Council of Private Universities (CPU); enrollment is confirmed upon CPU clearance.

  • Original certificate or stamped statement of grades
  • Computerized birth certificate; 6 photos; copy of national ID
  • Military forms 2 and 6/7 for eligible male students
  • Guardian’s national ID copy
  • Certified statement of success (before/after equivalency) + submission receipt

  • Birth certificate; 6 photos; national ID copy

  • Military forms (two copies + 6/7) for eligible male students

  • Guardian’s national ID copy

  • Official transcript/certificate authenticated before/after equivalency (embassy/MoFA)

  • Birth certificate (foreign students: authenticated); 6 photos; passport copy

  • Military forms (two + 6/7) for eligible Egyptian male students

  • Guardian’s national ID copy

  • Original diploma certificate (or a copy of it)
  • Computerized birth certificate (original or copy)
  • 6 personal photos
  • National ID card copy
  • Form 2 Gond for male students
  • Form 6 or 7 Gond for Egyptian male students
  • National ID card copy for the guardian
English systems (IGCSE/UK)
  • Authenticated certificate (British Council + Egyptian MoFA + Ministry of Education)

  • Birth certificate; full academic record or preparatory + 3 years of English HS

  • Passport/ID; 6 photos; military forms (two + 6/7) for eligible Egyptian males; guardian ID

  • Authenticated transcript (Egyptian Cultural Office/Ministry of Education)

  • Official SAT/ACT/EST score report + cumulative GPA

  • Preparatory + 3 years American HS; letter from the education administration (3 years)

  • Birth certificate/ID or passport; 6 photos; military forms (two + 6/7) for eligible Egyptian males; guardian ID

  • Portal credentials (username/admin) if requested during verification

  • Official statement of completed courses, grades, and equivalencies

  • Course syllabi/content for evaluation, authenticated by the issuing authority and embassy/MoFA as applicable

  • Plus the documents required for your original certificate type

  • Provide a valid passport in place of the national birth-certificate requirement, along with the documents above for your certificate type.

Additional Information

Deraya is required by law to send each student’s complete file to the Ministry of Higher Education and the Council of Private Universities (CPU). No student will be admitted to study at Deraya unless the CPU provides its clearance.
